Well since FOD and Bach are senior to me here (though I bury you all when it comes to boychat :-) I'll reply. While people certainly can love boys emotionally and enjoy being with them, I don't see the need for them to call themselves boylovers or to participate in the forum any more than people who enjoy the elderly, the disabled, college students or domestic animals need a support forum. The boylove support forums, IMO, are for discussion of boylove, that is sexual attraction to boys. This attraction comes with it a wide variance of lifestyles and manifestations, from child rapists to those who basically lead heterosexual lives but are still attracted to boys. In that same way that heterosexual men ranges from rapists to loving husbands, our behavior is played out in many different ways. Because of the taboos associated with sexual actions with children though, our lives play out much differently. For me and for most BLs who I know well, my love for boys is identical to most men's love for their wives. I am romantic and I am passionate. I would be monogamous. I could think of nothing greater than to hold the boy I love in my arms until death till us part. But of course none of this can happen and none of it ever has. So, how I live my life is the subject of ongoing debate. No matter how you cut it though, sexual attraction, in healthy form, will usually result in emotional love as well. Just my two shekels.
