Dear Chris, I know that God has His purpose in our lives, and God loves us unconditionally. But God's love is not just there to let us feel good. God's love challenged Peter's faith and his weaknesses. And Peter did not "feel good" at that time. God loves us, but He does not love the sins within us. We as christians must struggle, not just in the issue of boylovers, and also in the issues of homosexuality, adultary, and so on. We can't abuse God's love and justify our own weaknesses. God wants us to become perfect, to surrender our own sinful wills to Him. But are we willing to do so? If we keep on lying to ourselves, I can't see how we can walk in the light of God. |
