First, I've been off of all online discussion forums (BL and mainstream) since Sunday and, except for special cases like this, will remain off for the next few days or weeks. I was getting addicted and need to bring that under control before returning. I probably won't see any replies to this post until I get back. Now, I'm posting to ask your prayers for Thomas Reed Jones, a youth minister at a church in Austin, TX. He has been arrested on charges of molesting 2 teenage boys in a county near where I live. See the newspaper article (which will probably only be available for free until tomorrow, 5/13) for more information. There may be additional articles posted to the paper's web site tomorrow. Based on the article, Jones has already admitted committing what may be a crime (or at least, an imprudent act) related to these matters: viewing net porn in his apt., with one of the boys in the apt. at the time. Please pray for him, his family, the youth involved, their families, and the church he served at and its membership. Also pray for wisdom for the prosecuting attorneys, his attorney, and the judge and jury (if it goes to trial). I do not know Mr. Jones. I only know what I saw in the article. I'll see you all (and those of you crossing over from BC and RDC) when I get back into the forums. In the meantime, I'll be checking email and may be on IRC from time to time. If any of you have had experience with internet or other behavioral (non-physically-addictive) addictions and have recovered from them, I could probably benefit from your expertise.
