Hey Mark....... I just read your story. Many of the things you wrote are so close to my experiences in life, and the way I feel about things, that I felt like I was writing about my own life. You speak about feeling the need for therapy and feeling the need to have close, healthy, relationships with boys. I have met my emotional (and I think God given) need for close relationships with teenage boys by volunteering as a mentor, camp counselor, sunday school teacher and Young Life leader. My experiences in these areas have brought me closer to God and positively impacted many lives.....some I don't even know about. There is a HUGE need for people like us out there.....I encourage you to find a way to reach out and touch some lives in a positive way....this is the best therapy of all. Don |
