Joe, I'm glad you found us. I do hope you'll post here a lot. As you feel comfortable, let us know about your struggles and what you're thinking about.

It took me a long time to accept my orientation, and in some ways I still haven't done it completely. I have linked to my story below. I wrote it over a year ago, so it sounds more distressed than I feel now. Since then, I have come out to my pastor, and he has been very accepting.

I do know that one's character is independent from one's sexual orientation. Whether you're straight, gay, bi, BLer, GLer, or anything else, you have the ability to develop loving relationships, to be a conduit of God's love, and to be an example of Christ-like behavior to others. I also know that BL feelings are not qualitatively inferior to straight feelings. They involve just as much love, tenderness, and caring. We just have to be more careful how to express them, so we do what is best for boys. Hopefully all of us at CBF can be examples to each other of how to do that.

So welcome to CBF, Joe! I hope to hear more from you.

Mark
