Maybe this is not an appropriate response to make. However I thought I'd post the thoughts which came to mind upon reading your solicitation. You mention that some people have an abreaction to the words boylover or girl-lover. Me, I have a similar response to the words "christian" and "evangelical", no doubt because of the anti-gay ant-bl rhetoric some of the people calling themselves Christians or Evangelists preach. It's taken me awhile to "recover" from this kind of emotional/psychological attack, but now I see that some people who call themselves Christians have nothing to do with Christ. "Not everyone who calls me Lord, Lord..." etc. I believe it is the same with BL-ers and GL-ers. What a person calls himself and what a person actually is can be two different things. I have learnt not to associate the misnomer with the pain I have suffered at the hands of "christians". Just a thought. Rex Infinity |
