I'm waiting for the moment when you arrive there at Easter and find half the bar's patrons celebrating their holy day. :) Sounds like you've been learning a lot, and of course it's a wonderful way to reach out to other homosexuals. I don't know how big your hometown is, but, in North America at least, many large towns also have organizations for gays that are less oriented around dating situations (relatively speaking). If you're not close to a gay bookstore that would give you that sort of information, you might try doing a Web search on the name of your town (or the closest city) and the word "gay" and see what you turn up. Some telephone books also have listings with this information. You could also check to see whether there's an ex-gay organization near you. Also there are oodles of gay Christian organizations out there; check the links page at the Interfaith Working Group (www.libertynet.org/iwg). Heather |
