Hi Ben,

"Just a caution that this is RDC ... Religious De-Bait Chat

Some people here may not treat you as well as Your "Friends" treat you...
at the other place ;)
heh

Over here people get ambushed and even get yelled at... on occasion...
not to mention the anti Christian types who lurk in the shadows..."

I believe that you did read this message (on RDC) as satire, as it was intended.
However, there IS also an element of truth in the message.

I find it unfortunate, that a difference of opinion, of "faith" (or lack of)
would separate people who have been good friends and who have shared some common bond,
as we all do to some degree, simply by being on this planet.

I think that Religious Debate Chat serves a purpose and anyone posting there is
"fair game" within reasonable limits. I believe that this board
is the place to discuss Christianity and express genuine doubts and ask
honest questions. However, it isn't the place to settle personal differences, IMO.

I couldn't resist thinking about Paul when I heard of your conversion, even
though his epiphany must have been a more "immediate" and dramatic change ;)

I believe that self knowledge is useful, no matter what "wrapping" the package comes in. At this point in your journey, it wouldn't be constructive (for anyone) to throw a wrench into the works;) There are no doubt certain aspects that you will be faced with and eventually have to come to terms with. I know that you are already aware of some differences and adjustments that you will have to accept and certain aspects that you, yourself, may never be able to entirely change....
but that's alright :)

To put it rather simply.... priority of allegiance (loyalty & obedience) to God/Jesus, Self, Church, Friends, Family etc. will help to sort things out. Within each category of priority.... there will be sub-sets of priories where certain aspects of allegience to "self" may come ahead of allegience to "church" for example, and vice versa. heh....tks said "vice".

Allegiance and "obedience" (in the BEST sense of the word) will be a major driving force once a person makes a decision, as to what the most important aspects
(in their life) are.
Actually, when you get into it, it's not so "simple" as it sounds, as a simple working model.... not that I'm really fond of models ....
unless they are .... of the "Boy" kind ;)

As for my own journey....
"I was hoping that F.O.D. would be able to show me the way, but so far
i'm just as thick as I ever was ;)"

...sometimes when I go fishin.....
I don't even get the slightest "nibble"

Where O' where
are the fisher's
...... of Men
and Boys.....

;)
heh

Well, hows that for a ramble ....off the top ?

thanks
....for listening too
