Hi, Not only have I heard the Song of Songs quoted in church, I've attended an entire study on the book. A man by the name of Tommy Nelson has done a lot of research on the book and leads a traveling conference called the Song of Solomon. Maybe it will come to your area sometime. Rev. Nelson is based on Dallas (Denton), TX and, yes, he is a fundamentalist. He approaches his study from the basis that the Song of Songs is God's book to us on persuing love, sex, and marriage in a hetereosexual relationship. I found the conference informative, and there are a lot of reading and listening materials on the study as well. Maybe check it out, see what you think. I think it would be an excellent disussion for an IRC chat sometime. Any other takers? Blessings, Oliver |
