I've found that the concept of good and evil is usually at the root of most of our problems. Is it going to be okay for me to eat this last egg or is it too much cholesterol? Is it okay for me to walk across this street or will I be hit by a car? We constantly evaluate what we do in terms of good and evil, right and wrong...even the most simple of actions.

Good and evil could be defined as what you want to be right and what you know to be wrong.

Example:
A car is careening out of control towards a child. Do we follow our gut reaction and try to save the child with no thought for our own safety? Or do we sit and weigh the checks and balances and try to decide what is best all around?

Personally I would like to think that my gut reaction is what is going to lead me...not some concept of good and evil.

If a person follows his heart (who he is as defined by the gut reaction) there is no need for good and evil because it is outweighed by his own actions.

Love
