Dear Ben,

Thank you for asking this question. I will try to give an answer to this. When I was a child I was very religious, and I adhered to everything the Catholic Church taught me. This church taught me that all sex that was not for procreation was wrong. Even the self exploratory sexuality of a child. I kept myself to that and I did not mature sexually (ie I ejeculated) until I was 18. I had missed out on all the formative sexual development. No rehearsal play. No I was strong in controlling myself, which was a near impossible task. But I did it! But what did I get in return?

I had a sexual development that was lacking in its most important parts, those that are established in early childhood. My sexual development stopped at the age of about 13. I am a classic case of an "arrested development". It is therefore that I am attracted sexually to boys of about 13 (what I call my sexually essence). I rather would have been a normal heterosexual, but I blame the church and its false teachings on sexuality for the damage that is done to me. I see my case as a severe case of child sexual abuse. I have done some research on this amongst the people I know and have discovered that the majority of BLs I know all come from a Catholic background. I have a grave suspicion that there is a connection between the sex-prohibition of the catholic church and the amount of BLs who have a catholic background.

PS. I spend a lot of my adult life to get my sexuality in balance again, which I had to do, as this was part of my spiritual development.

Lots of Love, Gerald
