Hi Rylan, It's okay to be confused! I went through many months of searching and I don't think that I am there yet. There are so many issues wrapped up in how the church tells us we are supposed to think and act. You asked: How do I know which feelings to trust? And how do we discern the voice of God amidst all of the differing interpretations of the Word of God? How does man (or woman) choose which voice to believe, and decide which voice is God? I still continue to struggle with all of these questions. I can only tell you that at short points in my life it has been very clear to me that I am moving towards God, rather than away from Him. That certainty is what has sustained my walk. We are loved by God. When we love Him back, He empowers us to love those around us. Loving our neighbor is what God asks us to do. Trust love.
