Hi Heather, That story about the pastor and the gay men at thier friends funeral got to me. It put tears in my eyes because it is so much like us here. I don't go to church because of the very same reasons. And I hate it because I love music and I ALWAYS loved to sing in church real loud (I don't know if anyone sitting next to me loved it, but, oh well). Now I would just love to sing in church again but I can't get myself to go. The closest thing I got to do about three months ago was go to a Petra concert being held at this big church. It was awsome to be in church and singing again and because it was a Christian rock concert and worship service, I also got to raise my hands and jump around a little and really get into it. I HIGHLY recomend going to a Petra concert. But after that, nothing again. I wish we could have a real church to worship in but that probably won't happen. Thank you again, Heather, that really put a LOT of light on this homophobia issue. It stinks, and I just wish there were more folks out there like you. God bless you. Your's in Christ's Love, Chris |
