Hiya Nash,
while acknowledging (though not necessarily accepting) that some people prefer to find spiritual explanations for all the different challenges and heartbreaks we meet in life, I'm tending to think more that there can be a natural explanation for things like our homosexual boyloving feelings.

In other words, I'm not convinced that it was either God or the Devil that has made you a boylover.

Rather I see that God maintains the natural laws of this universe - the things of biology like genetics (born with it) and social upbringing (developed into it) etc, and it's the result of the natural outplay of these laws that some turn out with more homosexual affections, some with more heterosexual feelings, a kind of natural statistical distribution with most people in the middle (heterosexual) and a few people on the fringes (boylovers, Casanovas). Now you might ask if these natural laws have been contaminated by the Fall, but that's something of a different question. I really am sure that God doesn't sit around saying "I'm really going to stuff this guy's life up - I'll turn him into a boylover hehe"

I think you already touched upon what God's will for you is when you said "I do want to be a mentor, a friend, etc. a person a boy can trust and love." Take what you've received as a result of creation being what it is, and make it into that God will applaud you for!

Love,
Fod
