Hey Lostboy, when faced with the hopelessness of my own ability to get it right, I always find comfort in Romans 8:38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Especially that bit "neither the present nor the future". The way I read it, once you've put yourself into God's hands at one point in your life, there's nothing that can happen after that that can rip you out of God's arms. Nothing you do today, nothing you'll do tomorrow, can ever separate you from God's love and his forgiveness. He's greater than your mistakes. Take hope, boy. Fod |
