Hi Dirk,

Thank you so much for your appreciation AND your observation. I agree with you big time, brother. Actually, I don't think I've ever really thought of it like that, believe it or not. Your right, God DOES love "the world", or in other words, all the people living (or that have ever lived, or are going to live) on this place called Earth. We may sometimes feel insignificant (pleae excuse my poor spelling.), and I think so many Christians have what this evangalist friend of mine used to call an "I'm gonna getcha" God. In other words, they see God as some kind of giant, supernatural and perhaps hateful or vengeful person, who sits up in heaven just waiting for one of us to s screw up so he can "stomp" on us and condemn us or something. I now see God completely different from that because of this study. And everything I read in the Bible now just supports my new view of Him.

You know what, though, I think that perhaps He does look at Christians diffferently than the un-saved. I think, like you have said, that He loves everyone (saved or unsaved) the same, but those of us who accept Him, He considers his children. While the un-saved, even though He loves them just as much, cannot be His children UNTIL they (hopefully) accept His Son Jesus and become a child of God. In other words, His love for us never changes (it can't because I truly believe that there is no way God can love us any more.....or any less for that matter), however, our actual status with Him changes big time when we accept Jesus and become Christians. We are no longer lost sinners to Him, but truly His children!

Anyway, those are my thoughts and beliefs. I'm so glad you are interested in a study like this...it has helpe me out so much, and I really hope and pray it will help you (and many others) to see God as something much greater and much better that someone who is just waiting to destroy us when we screw uo. I am going to try to do one of these about once a week. I think it is so very important to our growing relationship with Him to understand more about His love and carring for us.

Thank you again for your very informed input on this, and your support. So, with that, God bless you big time and good night for now.

Love, your brother in Christ,
Chris
