The world will not end on Jan 1, 2000. At least not in a cataclysmic way. Christ could return for his believers (the Rapture), but the Bible says that we know not the time of his return, so putting any date on that is not wise. Even if Christ did return on Jan 1, the total destruction of the world would not be for at least 1007 years (Great Tribulation, Millennium). After which according to Revelation 21 a new heaven and a new earth are created and the old heaven and earth are distroyed. That's not to say bad things will not happen then, Y2K bug and such. EM |
