I don't know if this *best* reflects how I see God, though. I rather have a very abstract, pantheistic view. God as an abstract principle with everything being part of God. Roman Catholicism has a very concrete picture of God. One weakness I see is the so-called "infallibility" (?) of the church stating that the church (the Pope when speaking officially) is *always* right. A strength I think is that the idea of confession and forgiveness through repent is very strong, so that even bad sinners are given hope. |
