OK, this isn't a BL thing, but I am curious: For those who feel comfortable/safe talking about this: I. What denomination are you OR what denomination best reflects how you you see the world and God's place in it (not everyone here is involved in a denomination or congregation)? II. What teachings, policies, or other aspects of your denomination are its strengths and its weaknesses with respect to furthering God's kingdom. Me: I'm Presbyterian (PC(USA)). Our greatest strength is our greatest weakness: We do everything "decently and in order." This means we take our time and events sometimes rush past us, but it also means we don't go and do things willy-nilly or half-cocked. -David ("d") |
