Hi Dave,

My backround is fairly extensive, growing up in the home of a clergyman. I was baptized Lutheran as an infant, and bred in the Calvin churches as a young child. My father, who taught at a prestegious siminary, stayed true to the rites and rituals of Luther, while my Mom attended a Baptist congregation, traditions of which she was brought up on. Depending on who I was with, I attended these three demoninations growing up, with a VBS at my grandma's Church of Christ. Upon entering middle school, we attended a Methodist church, which is where the majority of my adolescence Christain experience took place. I rededicated myself to God and took on a calling in ministry when entering college.

I worked in Youth ministry for several years, primarally in the Methodist church, but had the fortune of participating in other denominational gatherings for youth and leaing worship for thier services. I have also delved into the Willow Creek "seeker service" church model in my most current church, and have participated in organizations such as the Song of Solomon and Passion conferences. I consider the experience of muti-denominational Christianity and good thing. It reinforces, at least for me, the body of believers that we are and the vision of unity I hope we aspire to.

In closing, may I quote Romans 15:5-6

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of Unity among yourselves as you follow Jesus Christ, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Many Blessings,
Oliver
