In this post in Scott's thread I wrote: What about the Christian boylover who cannot avoid temptation without avoiding boys, winds up in jail, prays for deliverance from what, to him, is a curse, and does not get deliverance? And if this boylover then feels abandoned by God and loses his faith, then what? What do I, as a Christian, say to him? The last question, what does God expect of me, is the key question. Who am I to question God's wisdom and motives? Nobody. It is not my role. It is my role to ask God how I can help someone in the situation above, and my role, should I ever be in a situation like the one above, to ask "what now God, what should I do?" I was hoping to get some input on the "what do I say to him" question, since it is not hypothetical. -David ("d") |
