Hi Rue (again),

This might seem a little backward but I went down and foun the post in question. It was all about an account that Scott gave us about that poor boy who fell and was almost killed. But, praise God, he is alive and doing ok now. I think you might have some names mixed up on the responses to his post. I think you are actually thinking of Ben's reply. But I'll tell you what, I agree with Ben one hundred percent.

I love the Lord and I know that his love for me is probably immeasurable. And my life is nowhere near "perfect" right now. I am losing my house, I have had to file bankrupsy, and now I have just been diagnosed with severe depression so I am now on medication for that. I am a recovering alcoholic and so I have had to go through all the "fun" stuff associated with that. And blah blah blah blah...the list could go on and on. But I absolutely love my heavenly Father and I trust Him in my life completely! My life has not been the "model Christian example", if there is such a thing. I have had to suffer a great deal since comming to know the Lord when I was a young teenager. But you know what? I still love Him and trust Him completely!!!

I have never read in the Bible where it says that once a person becomes a Christian, then all of his or her problems and pain are over. And I don't think it's in there, either. Actually, in a way, I've found almost the opposite to be true. This world hates Christians and will do all it can to make our lives misserable. Satan is out to get us the very minut we accept Jesus. I truly beleive this, but I also beleive that God will never allow us to be tempted (and I believe "to suffer" also) more than we can bear. I think a lot of Christians (and boylover Christians especially) loose thier faith in God out of frustration. But I also believe that God NEVER, EVER looses His faith in us. And once we accept Him, once we are saved, that is forever! I do not believe it can be un-done. I know there is much suffering and pain and evil going on all around the world, there always has been. But I trust the God who loves us all, and firmly beleive that He knows what He is doing.

God bless you, Rue. I hope I didn't come on too strong with you but I did want you to see where my own faith is at.

Your's in God's love,
Chris
