Dear Chris, Thank you for your kind words. I hope others can gleen something useful from them also. Trusting in God is the name of the game for me now. Like you, I lost everything to the bank last year about this time. Last Wednesday I received a call informing me that they now intend to file suit against me for the balance I owe after they sold it all and didn't get enough to cover. All I have now is this computer, my books, my clothes, a car that doesn't run with 195,000 miles on it and my hope, faith and trust in God. Life is just a matter of living moment to moment now, and I don't mind the simplicity of it. I trust in God and hope that He gets me through this. All this is hard to take, but I have this feeling, way down deep, that one day this will somehow work out. It is in this hope that I keep trudging along. Like that poem at the end of my last post says, I had to let everything go inorder for God to fill me up. I have learned in the last year how to live with nothing, and now it seems as though God has found something else to ask me to let go of. I still haven't figured out what, but I'm sure it will be revealed to me. Someone once told me that I should always trust in God, He always knows what he is doing, it just takes Him a loooooong time to do it. Even though it takes Him a long time to help me, I know that I can always trust in that help eventually coming. God, Jesus is the Rock that I now hold on to. This one Catholic Sister, Sr. Mary, alway says whenever I see her, "Brian, Keep your eye fixed on Jesus." It helps me. I say it to you also Chris, "Keep your eye fixed on Jesus", he will help you find a path through this somehow. In the mean time know of my prayers for you and your family. |
