Hi Brian, My heart goes out to you, brother. Loss is something that is definately NOT fun. I'm beginning to find that out myself now. In your case, though, I can't see how they can take anything more from you. The resale value of the items you mentioned won't be very much, I would hope they can see this and leave the rest of what you have alone. I am praying for you my friend, for God's good will in your life. I have also left my e-mail address for you in case you want someone to talk to...I will listen. Anyway, Brian, have faith in Him, this will see you through anything. God is a great respector of faith. Oh yes, He loves good works, but it is our faith that He is truly looking for, He respects faith. I think this is probably why having the right image of who and what God is in relation to us, and knowing who and what we are in relation to Him is so important. I have found that so many Christians have this terrable image of God being some kind of judgemental, supernatural being. And although He is willing to save us from eternal death, is nonetheless sitting up on some high throne just waiting for us to "screw up" so He can punish us terribly here on earth. Either that, or He is up there compiling a great list of our sins to use against us at His discretion. And nothing could be further from the truth. God wants us to LOVE Him, just as He loves us. And I doubt very much that anyone could ever find much love for someone who is looking for any little thing in which to punnish them for. I know that I would not. I would fear that person (or being), not love them, because I cannot love someone whom I fear. That is why we must put a LOT of priority on how we "see" God, and our understanding of how He "see's" us as well. And the best way I have found is a study in who and what we actually are as Christians, as children of God. Anyway Brian, I could go on forever almost, but I don't have time for that tonight.
