witness - Hi. Thanks for stopping by. There aren't easy answers to any of your questions. As BLues said, I think that you should hang around for a while to get a sense of what our lives are like. There are a number of non-BLs here including Heather and d. For the sake of understanding, my attraction to boys is no different (in the feelings that I have) than your attraction to your spouse. This is not a statement about MY ACTIONS or MY LIFESTYLE. It is just to say that I have the same romantic, loving desires that you have, but oriented (and definately not by my choice :-) to boys. I can't change the DESIRE. This makes me a pedophile, by definition and a boylover. I have never touched a boy sexually in my life. My solution has been masterbation and I'm not even sure, as a Christian, that I accept this solution. But it is very important to learn the distinction between a desire that I have had most of my life and actions. Whoever molested you did not do so out of love. I am not saying that they did not have the capacity to love a boy, but obviously what happened to you was not consented to. What they did was wrong and represented a lack of being able to deal with and channel their desire. The purpose of this forum is to provide a support place for those whose Christian beliefs conflict with the desires in their flesh. 2 Corinthians 12:7 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Even Paul had a thorn in his flesh which tormented him. This didn't make Paul any less spiritual, or deserving of forgiveness. For me, and most here, attraction to boys (not ACTION, attraction) is the thorn. Hope this helps your understanding. Ben |
