Hi Dgennero,

I was glad to here you say that you favor John over the other gospels, because that is what I base my analysis on.
Reading John, it says that "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God." I may not have the wording exactly right, as I am quoting from memory.

Elsewhere in the scripture, we are convinced that God himself had no beginning; he always was, and alway will be. But Jesus had a beginning, therefore he cannot be the same person as God. Jesus was the beginning of God's creation. He was also the end of God's creation. "I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. (Revelation) He was the Word (the voice) of the Lord God walking in the cool of the garden (of Eden) in Genesis.

John goes on to say. "All things were created by him and there was nothing made that was made that was not made by him." (Jesus) Therefore everything else was made by Jesus. "Let US make man in our own image." (Genesis)

Now as for the Holy Ghost (Spirit), that is the spirit which keeps God, Jesus and the heavenly host alive. When Jesus said, "When you've seen me, you've seen the Father", it simply means that "I'm just like my father, so what you see me do or what you see in me is what you would see in my father, if he were here." If we expect to make heaven our home, we will eventually be able to say, and have to say, "When you've seen me, you've seen the father." Like they used to say about Hopalong Cassidy, "If you want to be like Hoppy, you have to act like Hoppy."

Most places in the scriptures, Jesus is referred to as the "mighty God", while God is referred to as the "almighty God". The only place Jesus is referred to as the "almighty God" is in Revelation when he comes to set up His kingdom on earth.

Hope I didn't raise too many eyebrows

love of Jesus,
Andy
