Hi Dgennero, This is just my opinion. Prayer is what keeps the line of communication open between us and God. True, He knows our hearts and our every thought, but think of it this way. If you are mentor to a boy, don't you want him to talk to you? How would it be if he went day after day, and you were doing everything you could for his welfare and to make him happy, and he never said anything to you? Even though you may know you're doing what's best for him and he seems happy, wouldn't it be nice to hear him say it? Or there are times when he may want something, a special toy, or something he has had his eye on for a long time. Sometimes we'll hesitate a little, or hold back, waiting for him to ask us for it. Doesn't it make you feel better when he asks you, and not someone else? I believe, as our Heavenly Father, God feels much the same way. You know, instead of asking Him, we could be asking the devil for our pleasures, and following him. God's will, will be done, but He still wants us to pray for it. love of Jesus, Andy |
