Why do we want to, or have to pray - or to confess?
If God knows our heart, our every thought, is this necessary?
He knows what we are like, what we want, where we are heading, what we try to hide from Him.
Wouldn't He answer to everything: "Yes, I know."
So why tell Him something He knows already?
Why confess at all? We'll be judged for what we *do*, for how we live, not for what we say.
There's a passage about who did better when asked to do something:
He who said "I don't want to do it!" and still does it,
or he who said "Yes, I'll do it!" but doesnt.
You all know the answer.
