greetings all, i hope He is keeping you as well as He is keeping me. it has been an interesting few days around here. i am already in an interesting situation, which has become even stickier. this past spring, our director retired. my girlfriend, who was assistant director, moved up a notch and is now director. (she is now my boss, which is both good and bad....) anyway, i stayed on here for a few extra months to help her with the transition, and to do some work on our team-building curriculum. (i had previously planned on leaving as of last spring, but she really needed help and offered me a good raise, so i stayed a little longer...) anyway, she is now aware that i am a bl. the circumstances of this revelation are too long and comlicated to share here. needless to say, she was a little bit at a loss. (this all happened last wednesday.) she was not thrilled about the fact that i visit this site, because she almost fired another staff person for surfing porn sites on the work 'puter. things were a little tense for a day or two, and i stayed off the web until we had a chance to talk. we have not yet talked extensively, but we are at somewhat of an agreement. professionally, she is okay with the fact that i come here, as this is a christian site, and i come here for discussion and support. it would be different if i were looking at pics of naked boys, but it appears as if this is okay. personally, she is quite confused. we have not had a long talk yet, but we will when we have a decent amount of time. we love each other very much, and this whole issue is pretty strange to her. the fact is, i love boys too much to be truly committed to her. it remains to be seen how this whole thing will turn out. at first i was prepared to lose my job and immediately leave. but, as usual, the good Lord has been watching over me. it is a wonderful thing to have this finally out in the open. things have so far turned out extremely well. He works in HIs own time, and does things when He deems it best. anyway, that is an update on things around here... if y'all wouldnt mind keeping me in prayers for a week or two, i would greatly appreciate it, as me and her sort this all out.... (btw, she is a christian. and relatively open minded too, thank goodness.) see ya in the good Lord's hands...(which is the best place to be...) Scott |
