I am a Certified Master Graphologist, I have spent nearly 15 years studying aspects of handwriting and personality. I have also spent a great many years working in a Women's Shelter (but I don't define myself as a feminist). The idea for this study came about because over the last ten years, I have noticed specific traits in handwriting (as well as wording) in writing samples of men whose female partners were living at the shelter. Some were samples from before a woman left and then compared to a sample left on her car after she left. Some of the changes in the writing were phenominal. As well their were several key similarities. In the last few years I have look at the writing of people who were victims of childhood sexual abuse. Again while not all were similar a great deal contain the same specific traits that are linked with low self esteem, distrust of others, anger, repressed or controlled emotions. Then a collegue asked if I had ever studied the writing of the child molestor. I had not, did some investigating and found that there were no studies in this area. So this is where I'm at today. I'm just in the process of trying to gather samples and I figure message boards such as this one are probably the safest and most anonymous method for gathering samples. So far I have not been able to find a consistant set of traits in the samples that would "red flag" a person as a possible child molestor (but there are similarities in some of the samples dealing again with lowered self esteem, aggressive tendencies, restricted communication skills ). I am still trying to get a grasp on the various definitions of; pedophile, child lover, boy lover,girl lover, child molestor, child rapist. Everyone seems to have their own definition. I'm looking mainly for samples of people who define themself as a pedophile and who have had sexual contact with a child. Does that help clear up the hows and why's? Like I said in my original post I am looking also to ask questions to aid in understand what makes a person attracted to children, etc... |
