I guess I love him, but I've never told him that, that would sound too corny Seriously. Yeah, it'll sound corny, and it feels kinda weird saying it. It's not the sorta thing we're used to just dropping into our conversations. But I do, from time to time. The momentary awkwardness that I feel is nothing compared to what I owe my father, starting with respect, honour, love -- in a physical sense, my very life itself. One day, your father will die, and you will never have the chance to tell him you love him again. Don't wait. Dirk |
