yes, Dirk Gently, you're right. I know that with my father it had been a strained relationship at best. But in the last 8 years before he died that relationship had a lot of healing. The neatest thing is that he asked me to pray for him at his death bed. And I did tell him I loved him. I now realize I was and am much like him. For I believe the scripture is clear we inherit our parents weaknesses, and strengths. And we need to build on them, or change them. Love in Christ, Compassion...:=) |
