I find that the cure for loneliness is to become active in reaching out in different ways to boys in my area. I help with the youth group at church two nights a week, spend time with kids at the local middle school, have a few special mentoring friendships, and do camp counseling. The more active/busy I am in my youth ministry stuff......the less I feel the negative aspects of boylove. In fact.....when I'm with "real" boys I never have inapproprate feelings. It's when I sit at home on my computer with nothing to do and haven't talked to any boys in a while that I tend to slip. |
