Welcome Jack, I can't help thinking about how lonely Adam & Eve must have felt, after they sinned, and were driven out of the Garden of Eden. They were cut off from God, and never experienced His fellowship again. At least, as Christians, we have a relationship with Him. Adam & Eve were looking for acceptance from someone other than God. Because they were deceived by Satan, they lost their fellowship with God. God created us with that lonely place in our hearts that only one thing can fill; the acceptance of Christ and His Holy Spirit. Yet, when we don't live according to His Sprit, that lonely feeling returns. Those who oppose us as boylovers say to God, as the Pharisees did, "Thank God that I am not like them." We, as boylovers, plead with God, as the Publican did, "God, forgive me, a wretched sinner." Please pray for me that I might keep a broken and contrite spirit, and feel the warmth of His unconditional love forever. Peace in His love, mercy and grace, Andy |
