What is reality? Is reality what we percieve or what is desired by the mind? Do we always see reality or do we merely percieve what we choose to see because we have been preconditioned to see it? Only with a broad and OPEN mind can you even begin to percieve reality as it should be, not a preconditioned state of mind. Do you percieve YOUR reality as an extension of your biblical scriptures or are they founded in a more basic form of the TRUE reality? Does the scriptures form your opinions or do you use your own experiences and thoughts and realities to form your beliefs? One cannot exist merely to expound beliefs that are not really their own. By extension, "Self" cannot be expressed if you only follow and expound beliefs that are not your own. To use the bible to form your basic beliefs is not wrong, but to use the bible to form the entirety of your beliefs is a gross miscarriage of "Self". You say that people focus on "You" when they should focus on "Self", but if you cannot yourself focus on "Self" then how will you ever get beyond "You"? Remember, when you point a finger of blame, there are always four pointing right back at you. Btw, Mike said to tell you that the church is not a "rationalizing" body but merely a "righteous" (you mis-spelled that btw) and sanctimonious body. They rarely bother rationalizing. They merely point fingers because they have been preconditioned to do so after years and years of starting religious "crusades" and back-biting. After all, wasn't it one of Jesus' disciples that handed him over to the Rabbis who handed him over to the Romans because he was considered a "trouble maker" and a direct threat to Judeaism (probably mis-spelled)? Debate? Your debate rests in scriptures...ours rests in reality. Post away if you so choose. We'll be here. :) |
