Ben, People are called at different levels, some being closer to God's will than are others. God's Will for THEM that is. 'Give what thou hast and come follow me.' "I have prayed that God would change me and that he would help me become the normal person that I have always wanted to be." So, you have never been happy with your God Given orientation, and seek change ? If that is what you want and you do not feel that you have the strength to walk the path, then so be it. "Normal" I would find the use of this word to be in accord with fundamentalist brainwashing. I think that you should avoid it's usage in this sense. Words fail to convey meaning, in that I must make assumptions to try to determine the image that that word has in your Mind, rather than place my own interpretation on it in mine, in order to understand the material that you are presenting. Doubtless you regard "Celibate" Clergy as not "being normal, or at least that is what you imply. And what does the use of the word Celibate convey to you, unmarried, without sexual relations of any kind ? Not so, and with the Blessing of God I would submit. Have you ever wondered just why God has called people to travel this unmarried Path ? "As it turns out, God planted a beautiful woman into my life and she happened to....." Well, did he ?
