It seems to me that Jesus took his and our pain and suffering pretty seriously during his passion, starting with the agony in the garden and through the crucifixion. His enduring both mental and physical anguish, forgiving of his tormentors, proclaiming "Now is accomplished" and then giving up his spirit to the Father....in that order.....seems very significant. ---Ford |
