There's this stuff called DNA right? When people reproduce, half of the male's DNA "gets married" to half the woman's DNA. The two become one flesh in their offspring, so to speak.

So two people get married. They're both Christian. They have a kid. But the woman is a lesbian and the man is gay. Is marriage really only for those whose sexual desire is heterosexual? I'm gay. I get broody. I have a desire to reproduce. The desire to have sex is not the same as the desire to start and raise a family.

Snails are both male and female. When one snail meets another it doesn't have to worry about gender. Single-cell organisms, they just copy themselves. Some flowers rely on insects to tranfer sex cells from one plant to another. Reproduction via male/female couples may well be what God had in mind for the human race, but it is evident that God isn't the least bit fussed about other forms of sexual reproduction.

Peace be with you
