If it helps you and you are able to do that, then by all means cling to that belief. There is nothing wrong with believing the way you do if you find it helpful.

I can't do that, however. I am the kind of person who places great emphasis on the pursuit of knowledge. I would much rather find the actual truth even if it makes my life more difficult.

Long ago, I believed as you do now. But the search for truth led me to the conclusion that the only compelling argument in the case against a sexualized BL/YF relationship is the argument "God said not to".
