Changeling

This is going to be kind of a different movie revue because this movie, "Changeling" is a movie about some very strong subject matter and I am going to have a difficult time describing it without spoiling the storyline. First of all, this movie is not for the faint of heart. It deals with something that we as BL's would find horrific. It is, however, one of the finest works by Director Clint Eastwood, in my humble opinion. It takes place in the late 1920's, early 1930's, in Los Angeles. It is the true story of how a mother must deal with the corupt police department of that city when her young son turns up missing one day. Angelina Jolie is Christine Collins, the mother of the missing boy, played by Gattlin Griffith.

Again, this movie deals with some really nasty stuff. However, I must compliment Clint Eastwood on the skillful and tasteful way he film the worst parts. Also, even though this movie is strong, I would highly recomend it because it is excellent. The special effects are so well done that you have no idea they are there durring most of the film. You will be convinced it was actually filmed in the city of angels durring 1928-1930, even though you know better. The casting is also top notch, every role was well cast. Angelina Jolie should win an award for her effort, as well as John Malkovich, who plays the Rev. Gustav Briegleb. Really, this is a movie that will certainly put you on the edge of your seat durring the whole thing and put a big lump in your throat (and probably several tears in your eyes). I liked the ending even though it had a bit of sadness, it was still quite good. All in all this is an excellent movie and I definately recomend it. (I WILL spoil the story in another post if enough people ask me to.)
