I suspect that he's mainly aiming his comments at those for whom this is currently a BIG issue in their life. To the extent that it is not, then ok. Of course the danger then is that we get complacent and end up in a situation that leads us to do something we later regret; for me the rule is that I have no regular contact with boys on their own - not an absolute defence, but one that has stood me in good stead for 20 years.

But the danger still exists and the alienation of knowing that you are part of a hated minority leads me to be here because I know here that I meet others struggling with the same issues from the same faith perspective. I am very pleased to discover that there are ministries with a concern for those who have fallen into the hands of the criminal justice system to help them rebuild their lives, and for most of us that is not an easy process. And we have to prove to the system that we can be trusted....
