Thank you for your response. My situation is impossible in the sense that it is not possible for me to change certain things in my own strength. All things are possible with God and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - this way all the glory and praise belong to Him. Same gender sexual attraction is an aspect of our fallen nature just as other weaknessess like propensities to lie, steal, lust, hate etc... Jesus came to bring us a full salvation - healing of bodies, souls and spirits. He transforms us by the power of His spirit within us. Yes I want the fallen nature to be crucified at the cross and allow Him to create a new creation and part of this is the normal God created sexual attraction between opposite genders, which is not lust. While it is true that God loves us just as we are, accepts us in the beloved, sent Jesus to die for our sins and reconcile us to Father etc.. however He desires to conform us to the image of His Son. Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery 'neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more'. There must be change, growing in grace, overcoming by the power of His Spirit - otherwise it is not what Jesus has paid for. I am asking for what He has promised. God bless |
