The problem with that way of thinking is that it relies on emotions just as much as thinking that it is ok because it feels ok does. Ultimately, emotions could lead you to either conclusion.

Consider, for example, the case of a recent Jewish convert to Christianity. Despite the fact that he may already understand intellectually that there is nothing wrong with eating pork or having fun on the Sabbath, his emotions are very likely to make him feel uncomfortable with the idea of God walking in on him eating a BLT on a sabbath afternoon in the park.

Ultimately, the only thing these "would you feel comfortable" type questions answer is whether a person's emotions are in line with his beliefs. Depending on the stage in life the person is at, the answer may vary. Thus it just isn't a very useful test.
