I don't have a problem calling myself a pedophile. The term boy lover is certainly a more precise description, but the term pedophile isn't any less accurate. I think a lot of pedophiles find themselves wanting to reject that term in an attempt to convince themselves that they are substantively different from those who act out sexually with children. I, on the other hand, believe the only difference between pedophiles who act inappropriately and us is the choices we make.

The reason for my first question was because I found it curious that you would call it unfortunate that someone meets a pedophile since, as a pedophile yourself, you are clearly implying people who meet you are unfortunate to have met you.

The reason for my second question was because, having understood your explanation, I was interested in moving towards a discussion that explores the differences between the stereotypical "evil pedophile" and ourselves and whether the stereotype even exists in nature at all.

But I detected no interest and decided not to pursue that line of discussion. I wouldn't have posted anything else in this thread had you not made this post.
