my feeling is that, when you're old enough (are you already?) you need to go and see and try. You'll soon find out all you need to know. Don't hide away from your sexuality: noone should do that. Most of the guys here won't have done that.
The difference between intimacy and pure sex can only be discovered through experience. Soon you will fall in love and that will teach you everything you ever need to know: that's all any of us ever need to know . . . (perhaps you already have and that's the problem for you? if so you're already half-way there.)
