Be happy with what you got with him. I think you've already more than fulfilled his expectations of you. Be thankful for that and maintain it. Don't mess it up by bringing anything into the relationship that would confuse him (or others). For you right now, he's like a drug; you want your fix and can't seem to get enough. Get control and be sober-minded about it. Be thankful for what you are to him; enjoy these moments. And yes, prayer is good -- continue to pray.
