Personally, 'blood' takes little part in any kind of relationship for me.
I love my best friend more then I love my brother.
I don't consider myself to be cruel or anything, I just don't see the point in lying to myself about it.

Blood means nothing really.
Like the whole "my dad walked out on my when I was three so this man raised me my whole life, so I consider him my father" kind of mentality.
