Both 'Queer as Folk' and 'Clapham Junction' - two gay programmes on the UK's Channel 4 - had storylines including underage boys getting themselves laid by older men. And this seems to be the line of logic that is most accessible to the wider community - the limitation on the freedom of a 14 yo 'to love who he wants to', rather than focusing on the BL in the situation.

I suspect there is more sympathy out there than we generally assume or experience because whenever someone puts their head about the parapet they will get it shot off on the issue.
