I know very little about opera so I looked up Benjamine Britten and did some reading about him. Yes he did do an opera based on the story "Death In Venice" and I would absolutely LOVE to see that! I love that movie so much and if the opera is as good as the movie, it would be amazing. I love to rent "Death In Venice" sometimes when I feel a little down or spaced out. I don't know why but it helps me feel a little better. Maybe it is the kind of haunting quality of the film, the way the man is so obsessed with the beautiful young boy.
