I've also had times when the attraction to young boys seems to fade only to have it come back in full force when I least expect it. I know how truly disheartening it is when you think you've gotten past something to some degree only to have it come back and bite you in the butt. My situation is a bit different than yours because I'm not attracted to men my age at all.

I would echo Eldad's advice, to try to control your fantasies about boys as much as possible. I say "as much as possible" because I believe fantasy life is the hardest to control. Personally, this area is the hardest for me to control. But I believe the more a person fantasizes about a certain sexual area, the more he will be drawn to it. It's kind of like you're reinforcing the attraction in your mind. But I don't want to give you the impression controlling fantasies will totally control the attraction. It won't.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Keep in mind that you're NOT the guy in the van. Even though the world demonizes anyone who has this attraction, God does not. He loves you and will honor and bless you for dealing with your attractions and controlling your actions.
